Mitsubishi Serves Up Satisfying New Concepts for Tokyo

If you're anything like the automotive enthusiasts at Lovering Mitsubishi, then you're probably anxious to sink your teeth into all the juicy concept model details revealed at the Tokyo International Auto Show this month. Well, to give you a taste of what's to come, we'd like to share some Mitsubishi morsels with you right now.

This year, our favorite automaker presents two futuristic concepts: the Mitsubishi Mirage and the Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV II. Both models offer up a mouthful of satisfying features and innovative technology. First, let's start with the second-coming of the Mirage. Bringing new life to a former name, the updated Mirage is a redesigned five-door hatchback created to quench the thirst of both advanced and emerging markets. Only 146-inches bumper-to-bumper, the model is powered by a 1.0-liter, inline, three-cylinder MIVEC engine and married to a CVT transmission.

Again appealing to the needs of a specific market, this time the green sector, the Concept PX-MiEV 11 is a plug-in hybrid with technology taken from the automaker's Mitsubishi i EV and a traditional gasoline engine. With an estimated range of 496-miles and a fuel economy of 141-mpg, the concept boasts greater efficiency over small, all-electric city vehicles. The model's 2.0-liter MIVEC four-cylinder engine may be used as a generator or directly drive the wheels.

In addition to the PX-MiEV II and Mirage, Mitsubishi will serve up an extensive platter of other models for the big show so make sure to stay tuned for more information. As always, Lovering Mitsubishi at 95 Manchester Street Concord, NH 03301 promises to answer any questions you may have so don't hesitate to contact us anytime.
