I was in the market for a new or slightly used luxury car and stopped by Lovering Volvo to look at a used S90. I was helped by Jakob who told me all about the Volvo brand and all the safety features the Volvo brand has. He took his time with explaining the car and then had me take a test drive. When I returned I told him that I would be back the next day. He simply said ok and at no point did he try to pressure me into buying TODAY like many other dealerships. When I returned the next day I had asked if I could try out the S60 just to see what they were like and he put me into the S60 T6 R-Design and after I returned from my test drive he could tell immediately that I was pleased. Again, he did not try to sell me that car that very day. He was supportive and willing to help with any questions and spent time with me going through the different cars on the website. I left and told him I would be back. I finally did return with a specific car at the dealership in Nashua. He looked into it and began the process for me to purchase the car. Throughout the couple of days I threw a lot of questions his way and he answered all of them with expertise. Although the process was smooth and I am very pleased there were just a couple of small issues that were not in Jakob's control. I was ready to purchase the car on Monday, but since it was late in the day it would have to wait, but finance guy did not work on Tuesdays so I had to wait until Wednesday. This is no big deal, but the plan was for the car to be delivered to Concord for me to test drive that particular car Wednesday morning at 10:00 am. I arrived on time just to find out the drivers just took off for Nashua and I would have to wait another 2 hours before they were back. I did my test drive and was told that my appointment with the finance guy was at 2:00 pm, but that too was delayed. All in all, I was tied to be at or near the dealership all day and did not leave until 4:30. Finally, and this is not a complaint, this dealership like every other dealership does try to sell a number of protection, service and warranty options when signing the paperwork. I attempted to get the info before the meeting so I was prepared but was told it could only be done during the signing. Like other dealers, they do try to convince you to buy the additional products and show you the price as part of your monthly payments and show you both a 60 month and 66 month option, which I know is to help show their affordability. I asked for the individual prices since I do not like financing these services since they can easily add thousands of dollars to your loan. I will say I did not receive any type of heavy selling or trying to convince me to take these options. The car was presented cleaned, detailed, and ready to go. It really is a beautiful car and drives great. I am happy with the purchase and my experience. One last comment, and this is often what you see in many companies that have hierarchy. The ones low on the totem pole seem to do a lot of work and jump through a lot of hoops to get the job done, but don't get to see the benefits that the executives get. It is hard to imagine that the sales people at Volvo do not get a car to drive. The executives make plenty of money to afford a car to drive, yet they are the ones who get a Volvo....while the sales people who do all the work to sell the cars can only sell based on what they have learned and not from the personal experience of driving the cars themselves.
I let Jakob know what kind of vehicle I was looking for and he contacted me when the perfect match come onto their lot. I was able to do much of the paperwork online while I was out of state, which allowed for a quick trip in to sign and finalize the deal and drive away in my Jeep. Andrea, Scott and Jakob were all very nice to work with, I couldn’t be more pleased!
We were just looking when we went to Lovering but Gary showed us our options and we quickly decided we were ready to buy. We have no regrets! We love our new XC40 and Gary was great to work with - Lisa was also really helpful!

I viewed a vehicle I was interested in online and decided to stop by on my way home after work. I wasn't there more than a few minutes when Lucas came out to help. We worked with Lisa at Lovering Concord and the experience was very good. We negotiated a fair price and trade on a 2016 Volvo XC70. It was worth the three hour drive to source it from them. We love our new car and the drive back from Concord to upstate NY was spectacular in mid October.
I walked in on Wednesday morning for my appointment that was scheduled for the previous day. I apologized for having made the error on my calendar and offered to reschedule. The service advisor said not to worry, that they’d make it work. I was out the door in less time than was estimated!
